FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are you insured or backed by any guarantees?

Yes, Masters Construction is a member of Registered Master Builders, which means our work is backed by a 10-year Master Builder guarantee. Additionally, we carry the necessary insurance to protect both our team and your project during the construction process. Your peace of mind and the safety of your investment are our top priorities.

Will I need a building consent from Council?

Council consents are typically required for home renovations to ensure compliance with local building regulations. These consents vary based on the scope of the renovation, such as structural changes or extensions.

There are certain types of “exempt” work that can be carried out without council consent if completed by a licensed building practitioner.

Managing permits is a key part of the home building process, and it’s important to work with professionals who have extensive knowledge of local requirements. Thorough project management ensures a smooth process from start to finish.

How long does the build process usually take?

The duration of a building project can vary significantly based on its complexity, size, and specific requirements. During our initial meeting, we’ll provide you with a rough estimate of the timeline based on your project details. We prioritise realistic timelines and open communication to ensure you have a clear understanding of the expected duration.
Hiring a team experienced in building quality homes ensures efficiency without compromising workmanship. At Masters Construction we manage projects for a seamless building journey, delivering exceptional results with every build or renovation

Do I need to use an LBP (Licensed Building Practitioner)

Certain projects are classed as “restricted." Restricted building work, is any work that is critical to the integrity of a building, this involves the building structure, weather-tightness, and design or fire safety.  You will need an LBP to complete any restricted building work. A record of work (ROW) can only be completed by a licensed builder and this paperwork gets lodged on council files.
We strongly advise using an LBP for all work undertaken in your home to ensure it is up to standard and done as it should be.

Why is it essential to select a good construction company for your project?

Your house is not only your home, it is an investment. As a homeowner, you want to ensure that you are hiring the right team for your project. You want a reputable company that offers complete transparency and operates with the utmost integrity. We will be with you every step of the way, from the planning process to the completion of your project.
